About the book
The geometric structure of the surface of machine elements is on the one hand the result of the technological process, and on the other hand - a factor conditioning the proper operation of the finished product. That is why its measurement and evaluation is so important in modern technology. The handbook in an accessible and exhaustive way discusses:
- Ways of separating individual unevenness of the geometric structure of the surface,
- Modern methods of measuring and evaluating the outlines of roundness determined for the entire analyzed surface, profiles of cylindricity, straightness and flatness as well as closed outlines of shape,
- Ways to assess surface roughness and waviness,
- Comprehensive profilometric measurements of unfinished outlines of shape,
