About the book

The S7-300 controllers from SIEMENS and the Step 7 software for it are in Poland and in the world the most popular automation products used to control machines and process lines. The publishing market lacked a position that would discuss the subject of this driver to such a large extent and methodically. The thematic scope and the latest materials have been prepared and made available by SIEMENS employees.
The book was created for students of automation and computer science, it will also be useful to the engineering staff and students of technical schools. In order to facilitate the use of this book, especially for readers less advanced in the field of drivers, the explanation of the elementary concepts can be found in the author's previous book "PLC controllers in engineering practice".
The author's many years of experience gained during the design and commissioning of installations based on controllers, both at home and abroad (in Italy and Iran) have been transferred onto the paper. The work place, which is the Department of Process Automation at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics of the AGH University of Science and Technology, contributed to the creation of this book, where he is a professor trying to teach students what is modern and useful in life.
