The ContactLAB test platform provides fully configurable signal emulation for validation of ISO 7816 contact smart cards and Single Wire Protocol (SWP) USIM and ContactLess Front End (CLF) for NFC enabled mobile handsets. Its combination of functionality, precision and control make ContactLAB the ideal tool for component:

• Characterization
• Validation according to industry or in-house test requirements
• Certification according to industry standards for electrical, protocol and application level implementation
• Security evaluation

ContactLAB tests implementation at electrical, protocol and application level. The platform provides full control of signal electrical and timing characteristics, allowing electrical characterization of the device. In addition, users have complete control of protocol commands, command sequences, and timing characteristics. This allows the creation of test cases for any use scenario in order to test card behavior both within and beyond the specifications of industry standards.

ContactLAB comes as a complete hardware and software test platform that includes:

• ContactLAB signal emulation and protocol analysis hardware (functionality depends on options selected by the user)
• RGPA software interface for tool configuration, control and viewing of test results
• RScript software interface for creating, editing and executing tool control scripts (limited license)
• Probes in ISO7816 card and SIM card formats
• All necessary connection cables and power supply

ContactLAB capabilities are determined by the tool's licence options. This allows users to order the functionality they need - reader, spy and/or emulator, ISO 7816 and/or SWP.
