The Road Traffic Act, applicable since April 2007, imposes on drivers the obligation to use dipped-beam lights 24 hours a day. In the period from dawn to dusk, in conditions of normal air transparency, the driver of the vehicle, instead of dipped lights, can use daytime running lights.
The system is used for automatic switching on of lights after starting the vehicle's engine. Then the working alternator causes the voltage in the car's electrical system to reach the nominal value of 14 ... 14.4 V. The increase of voltage above the battery voltage is detected by the system. This causes the activation of light control relays with a one-second delay. One is designed for supplying side lights and dashboard, the other controls circuits for low beam or daytime running lights.
As a result, the lights will come on shortly after starting the engine and will turn off immediately after it is turned off.
The device especially for car owners, especially older models
