NanoPi NEO Core2, is an alternative NanoPi NE02 that is fully compatible with it. All connectors and ports NE02 are led out to the connectors. In addition, NEO Core2 can have an optional built-in eMMC flash memory and ESD protection for connectors and ports. These functions are very much preferred by customers in the industrial sector.
NE02 Core uses the popular processor Allwinner H5 SoC and has a built-in RAM 1 GB DDR3. FriendlyElec offers models with three eMMCs: 8 GB (default) / 16 GB / 32 GB. FriendlyElec has carried out the migration of FriendlyCore-Xential (based on the UbuntuCore system) with the 4.16 kernel and created a dedicated operating system for this application. Compared to NanoPi NE02, NanoPi NEO Core2 works more reliably with significantly less heat. It is a good platform for IOT applications, early warning systems, intelligent control systems, cluster calculations and A1 applications.
