Sometimes watching TV is a reason to argue - a loud sound disturbs other household members. Traditional headphones only partially solve this problem - the long cord is uncomfortable. A wireless system is a salvage. In the kit, infrared is used as the transmission medium. The use of frequency modulation allowed for high resistance to interference.
