Computer communication with systems equipped with a communication interface other than RS232 requires the use of an appropriate intermediary system. It is presented kit. It uses a specialized Philips system. The manufacturer has equipped it with an additional, programmable 8-bit input-output port. Communication with the system takes place with ASCII commands. The default communication speed of the serial port is set at 9600 bps and can easily be changed to 400.8 kbps. Also the I2C bus frequency can be changed - from 37 to 369 kHz.

The device is especially recommended for all people using extensive microprocessor systems
