About the book

II edition of the bestseller Andrew Troelsen!
C # is the programming language of the .NET platform, a new Microsoft product. Andrew Troelsen teaches you how to use C # to create almost any type of .NET application, ranging from Windows applications and ending with web applications. It thoroughly discusses every aspect of writing .NET programs and provides well-chosen examples. The best recommendation of the book is information prepared by the author:

Dear readers!
Although it seems almost impossible, the first edition of this book appeared a few years ago at the TechEd 2001 conference in Atlanta, Georgia. Since then, the book has been translated into eight different (human) languages, has been nominated for the Jolt Award 2002 and won the category of programming books in the Referenceware Excellence Awards 2003 competition. I honestly admit that these successes surprised me because when I presented this book to my the thought was "I hope it is not a sell". I would like to thank all the readers, reviewers and buyers of the first edition, who sent me their comments (positive and negative) about the book and their experiences with the use of CLR.
For those who know the first edition of the book I have good news - the text has been significantly improved. First of all, each chapter has been updated. There are also several new chapters, including a discussion of the .NET remote layer and the basic CLR elements (context, processes and what not to do). The issue of ASP.NET was significantly deepened. As before, everything has been discussed on friendly and easily available examples.
New readers should know that this is a book intended for people who create software that have a bit of experience in using modern object-oriented languages (so there are no three chapters about iteration and building decision structures). The task of this book is to provide a solid basis for programming in C # and to convey the basic issues related to the .NET platform (assembly, Windows Forms, Web Forms, etc.). After reading and assimilating these twenty chapters, the Readers will be able to apply the acquired knowledge to specific programming tasks and will be prepared to use the .NET world on their own terms.
