If you want to replace two buttons with a rotary switch then this is the module for you. Thanks to the transducer used, the module sends high signals to S2 and S3 - depending on the direction of rotation. In addition, the module has a button, built into the encoder axis, so that the module can be used, for example, to operate the LCD display menu in the device being built. Two LEDs indicate rotation to right and left respectively.
There is no need for an additional integrated circuit or microcontroller to read impulses from the encoder. The module already has a built-in system - the ATtiny13 microcontroller, thanks to which it is possible to upload your own software and implement additional functions.
