OAK is a powerful 3D AI+CV platform consisting of an open hardware and software ecosystem that provides complete and ready-to-use hardware-accelerated machine vision. OAK-D-Lite is a compact version of OAK-D. Its features, performance and lenses are the same as the OAK-D (except for the IMU), but its smaller size and lighter weight makes it suitable for projects where space is limited. In addition, the OAK-D does not have a 5V power port and has a larger depth measurement range. OAK provides computing performance of up to 4TOPS, which is 10 times faster than OpenMV and 40 times faster than Raspberry Pi 4B. Stereo vision allows you to see the world in 3D and add a "pair of eyes" to robots. OAK enables 200fps image acquisition and processing at a range of up to 9m.
OAK-D-lite uses a VPU (Myriad X). It combines depth perception, object detection (machine learning) and object tracking, and can help achieve these functions with a simple and easy-to-use Python API. It uses three cameras (a 13MP IMX214 RGB camera and two 0.3MP OV7251 mono cameras) and a USB 3.0 port, so you can access OAK via USB on PCs, Raspberry Pi and other minicomputers.
OAK Series appliances are excellent for projects using machine vision and real-time data processing with low resource utilization on the host. It allows you to run neural network models directly on the appliance with support for custom models in OAK. The kit is compatible with almost all popular platforms, programming languages and neural network frameworks.
