OAK-D S2 PoE is an advanced robotic vision camera that combines a stereo depth camera with a high-resolution color camera. The RVC2 architecture provides impressive computing power of 4 TOPS (1.4 TOPS dedicated to AI). The camera allows the execution of various AI models, including custom architectures (models must be previously converted). It supports encoding in H.264, H.265, and MJPEG formats, offering resolutions up to 4K/30FPS and 1080P/60FPS. The OAK-D S2 PoE also features advanced computer vision functions, such as distortion correction, resizing, cropping, edge detection, and feature tracking. With stereo depth perception incorporating filtering and post-processing, the camera enables object tracking in two dimensions (2D) and three dimensions (3D) using the ObjectTracker node.
The camera features a baseline distance of 75 mm and a depth range from 70 cm to 12 m. Its power consumption is up to 5.5 W, making it an efficient solution. The OAK-D S2 PoE is made with an industrial aluminum casing, and the front glass is made of Gorilla Glass, ensuring durability and resistance to damage. It is equipped with a 1/4" tripod thread and a 75 mm M4 Vesa mount, facilitating installation in various applications. The model with auto-focus is recommended for objects located between 8 cm and 50 cm away. Additionally, users can manually adjust the focus using the DepthAI API.
