Description

STOP:bit Module for BBC micro:bit is an ideal enhancement for projects related to traffic lights or pedestrian crossings. It simplifies coding such projects, and additionally, the module comes fully assembled, eliminating the need for soldering. The PCB is shaped similarly to a real traffic signal, with the micro:bit serving as the pedestrian crossing controller. The board features three 10 mm diameter LEDs powered directly from the I/O pins of the micro:bit. The LEDs receive power from the micro:bit through its connectors. If you want to expand your project to include more signals, you can use the micro:bit radio module to communicate between different signals, to which additional micro:bits can also be connected. This is a great way to explore traffic management in a city.

To further facilitate programming, the manufacturer provides special blocks in the MakeCode editor. To add custom blocks to the editor, simply click on the gear icon in the top right corner of the MakeCode editor, and then select “Add Package.” In the dialog box, type “Kitronik” into the search field.
