About the book |
The book was devoted to all issues related to digital teletransmission systems, starting from their basics, through network structures and protection, devices, synchronization and synchronization networks, service functions, to managing and maintaining systems and networks, ending. The book is a monograph. It discusses teletransmission systems of PDH hierarchy, SDH synchronous, SONET, next generation NG SDH synchronous systems, as well as OTH optical hierarchy systems. The book is intended for a wide range of people dealing with teletransmission, both from academia, including students and researchers in telecommunications and IT, as well as research institutes, measurement laboratories, project offices, telecommunications operators and teleinformation companies. About the author Dr inż. Sławomir Kula, since 1978 associated with the Institute of Telecommunications at the Warsaw University of Technology, is an assistant professor at the Department of Teletransmission Systems. Since the beginning of his professional career, he has taught classes - lectures, exercises, laboratories and projects, among others of subjects: teletransmission systems, access systems and networks, construction of teletransmission devices, signal processing in telecommunications, theoretical basics of multimedia, modern teletransmission systems, basics of digital transmission. His didactic experience was significantly complemented by lectures given abroad in Algeria, England, France and North Korea. and Mexico. He is the author of many publications in the field of transmission systems and networks. He participated in a dozen or so scientific and scientific-technical works related to the subject matter raised in the book. He is a co-author of the Requirements of the Minister of Communications for SDH teletransmission systems and networks, co-editor and co-author of the book SDH Systems and Networks published by WKŁ in 1996. In 1991 he was an ITU-T expert. He is the president of the Association of Telecommunications Engineers Association at the Warsaw University of Technology. Table of Contents From the author 1.
