About the book
The book is devoted to genetic algorithms and closely related to it. evolutionary programs. It is a modern and very popular topic all over the world. The book consists of three parts. Part I is devoted to genetic algorithms, constituting the basis and starting point of the author's considerations. Basic issues are discussed in it, such as problem representation issues in the form of numbers O and 1, initial population, evaluation function, and genetic operations. It also describes the principle of operation of genetic algorithms. Part II deals with issues related to computational optimization in the aspect of genetic algorithms. The author discusses binary and real representation, operations of mutation and crossing, tuning genetic algorithms and taking restrictions into account. In part III there is an analysis of selected evolutionary programs, and therefore appropriate genetic algorithms and data structures. It refers to the transport task, the traveling salesman problem, scheduling. The problem of machine learning is also outlined.
The book is intended for students of higher years of mathematics, IT, technical and economics. It will also be used by researchers and practitioners interested in searching for optimal solutions in issues related to design or operation.
