Description

Xmega eXploreGO is a module with ATXmega128A4U microcontroller, MP3 VS1003B decoder, additional DataFlash memory and microSD card connector, which can be used to build amazing projects and allow you to learn about microcontrollers from the AVR Xmega family.

It is possible to connect the Bluetooth module and the bi-directional radio module nRF24L01 . The module can be programmed via USB or program / debug using the PDI connector, led out to the edge of the board. All signals from the microcontroller have been led to external connectors. The signals connected to the VS1003B system and the additional memory have SMD jumpers, so that they can be disconnected at any time, so that they do not collide, if the signals are used for other purposes. On the edge of the PCB there is also a small ON / OFF switch for the USB power supply. The module has two configuration jumpers for selecting the power supply voltage from USB or from the VIN connector.

Xmega eXplore GO has connectors, most of them compatible with the Arduino platform , to connect extension boards designed for Arduino . Because ATXmega microcontrollers tolerate + 3.3V voltage, each signal lead has a built-in resistor of 3.6 kR, allowing connection of + 5V circuits. In some cases they may interfere, so for most of these resistors, on the opposite side of the board, there are jumpers.

Included

  • assembled MOD-20 / AZ Xmega eXploreGO (version without MP3)

properties

  • ATXmega128A4U microcontroller
  • version without MP3 (without VS1003B chip)
  • AT45DB041D memory, expandable to 16Mbit
  • USB programming (FLIP software)
  • programming / dubugging via PDI connector
  • microSD card connector
  • connector of the radio module nRF24L01
  • connector of the Bluetooth MOD-02 module adapter
  • PDI connector
  • ATXmega system terminal connectors
  • built-in LED indicating the microcontroller's power supply
  • dimensions 70 mm x 54 mm
  • USB power supply with 500 mA protection
  • power from the VIN connector from + 6.5 V to +12 V
  • RESET and BOOT button (for programming via USB)
  • built-in 16MHz quartz resonator, possibility of mounting a ceramic resonator or a quartz resonator connector
  • ON / OFF switch
  • built-in 3.6kR resistors for signals from the microcontroller, enabling the connection of + 5V circuits, most resistors have jumpers on the opposite side of the board. Despite the use of these resistors, we recommend the use of 3.3V / 5V voltage converters.
  • the outputs are mostly compatible with the expansion boards for the Arduino platform
  • power selection connector from USB or VIN
