This book is an academic textbook. The terms optical instruments are used interchangeably with the term optical instruments. Physical foundations of operation of optical instruments are described, not instruments used in optics, and only to the extent that the content of the book is filled with a little excess of 30 hours of lecture without exercises. This is a monograph, but an incomplete monograph. The compromise, as usual, leads to dilemma - which should be omitted in order to fit in the imposed volume. Photometry and colorimetry were omitted, because photometric and colorimetric instruments are basically electronic devices, with little optics. Regrettably, a considerable number of interesting optical measuring systems, generally built on benches or optical tables, have been omitted, not in a compact form. This is primarily about automatic image recognition and techniques for filtering their spatial frequencies.
Optical instruments are represented in this manual by only a few of their representatives. The book will allow you to understand how optical instruments work, but in no case is their complete review, or even more so the catalog.
