Description

Module with a USB Type-C connector intended for device prototyping. The board gives access to the power pins (VBUS and GND), USB 2.0 differential data (D+ and D-), CC and SBU configuration channel. The pins are placed on a connector with a 2.54 mm pitch, which makes it much easier to use USB Type C, e.g. in combination with a breadboard. The module does not have differential RX and TX signals, which means that it does not allow data transfer in the USB 3.1 standard.

The USB Type-C connector is the newest type of USB connector, intended to replace a wide range of existing sockets. It can serve as both a USB host and a device, allowing either end of the cable to be plugged into the socket either way up, and can support power delivery using Power Delivery (20V, 5A).
