EVC9001B – USB port isolator

Description

The USB isolator model EVC9001B is designed to protect the computer’s USB interface from interference and overvoltage in industrial environments. It uses the high-performance ADI ADuM4160 magnetic coupling isolation scheme, providing galvanic isolation up to 3000 Vrms. It supports USB devices operating at low and full speeds (1.5 Mbps and 12 Mbps), excluding devices requiring high speed. Operation without the need to install drivers allows compatibility with Windows, Linux, and Mac systems.

Power can be supplied either through the USB interface or from an external 5 V power source, indicated respectively by LED indicators (blue and red). The internal output current is 180 mA, while the maximum external current depends on the applied power source. The system is equipped with dual inductive filtering, USB TVS protection, and short-circuit protection. Designed for DIN rail mounting using a standard clamp.
