24GHz mmWave Sensor is a module designed for the XIAO development platform. It acts as an advanced human presence sensor, using FMCW (Frequency-Modulated Continuous Wave) technology to detect human targets in a specific space. It uses advanced radar signal processing and precise human body detection algorithms and achieves exceptional sensitivity in detecting human presence, accurately identifying both moving and stationary states. Intended mainly for indoor use. It uses modern technology of a 24 GHz millimeter wave radar sensor, which brings significant benefits in applications related to human body detection. It shows excellent sensitivity not only to moving human bodies, but also to static, micro-moving, sitting and lying bodies, exceeding the capabilities of traditional solutions.
The module offers a maximum detection distance of up to 5 meters and a wide detection angle of ±60 degrees, which guarantees accurate identification within the specified range. It supports the division of the detection range and effectively protects against external interference. Additionally, it supports Bluetooth, allowing you to directly adjust radar parameters using a dedicated application, eliminating the need to connect to a serial port. Moreover, the module demonstrates excellent environmental adaptability, maintaining uniform detection performance regardless of temperature, brightness, humidity or light changes. Its ability to penetrate the housing eliminates the need to drill holes in the surface, improving the overall aesthetics of the product. The module offers flexible configuration options for the furthest detection distance and sensitivity, enabling personalized and precise settings.
