Description
The MAX485CSA+ from Maxim Integrated is designed for bidirectional data transmission in RS-485 and RS-422 communication systems. The device supports data rates of up to 2.5 Mb/s and allows multipoint communication with up to 32 transmitters and receivers connected to the same bus. The slew-rate-limited output reduces electromagnetic interference and helps minimize signal reflections in longer transmission lines.
The transceiver operates from a 5 V supply and features low power consumption, making it suitable for industrial automation systems, PLC controllers, telemetry equipment, measurement devices and communication networks based on the RS-485 interface. The SOIC-8 package enables surface-mount installation in compact electronic designs.
