TDA7492 is a monolithic Class-D audio amplifier developed by STMicroelectronics, operating in bridge-tied load (BTL) configuration. The device is intended for applications such as TVs, monitors, and consumer audio systems where high efficiency and compact design are required.
Thanks to Class-D architecture, the amplifier achieves efficiency up to approximately 90%, significantly reducing power dissipation and heat generation compared to linear amplifiers. The device can deliver output power up to 2×50 W under specified conditions (6 Ω load, 25 V supply, THD = 10%).
Integrated features such as standby and mute functions, along with thermal and overcurrent protection, ensure safe and reliable operation across a wide range of audio applications.
