SparkFun RedBoard is an Arduino compatible base board. The connectors have 22 digital I / O pins with 6 PWM pins, 8 analog pins, UART, I2C, SPI and external interrupts. USB communication is via the USB Type-C connector and the CH340G converter. The optimized power part of the RedBoard Plus uses a 3.3V AP2112 voltage stabilizer to provide up to 600mA with full thermal protection and with additional decoupling capacity to increase the sensitivity of the ADC readings. The PTC fuse has also been increased from 500mA to 2A. In addition, a 3.3V voltage level converter and a Qwiic connector have been used to enable quick and trouble-free connection to the Qwiic I2C line of products.

For more advanced users, an I / O voltage switch has been added that allows you to easily select GPIO voltage between 3.3V and 5V. PTH holes have also been added next to the standard female connectors, making it easier to solder the wires. There are solder pads on the bottom of the board for the USB D + / D- data pins, so you can start an external USB connection.

SparkFun RedBoard Plus can be programmed with a USB Type-C cable using the Arduino IDE. The board is powered via the DC connector with the voltage from 7 to 15 V or via the USB connector. Full documentation is available in the guide.
