BLTouch is an automatic table leveling sensor for 3D printers with a built-in semiconductor Hall sensor. It can precisely measure the inclination of a surface and is suitable for leveling a table made of any material, including: glass or metal.
The sensor is characterized by a simple structure and high precision thanks to the innovative use of an electromagnet and a detector. It aims to ensure user convenience and pleasant printing by adding many intelligent functions such as self-test, alarm, alarm release and touch switch mode, blue LED for servo signal and Z (Zmin) probe testing. The sensor ensures high precision because the standard deviation of repeatability is approximately 0.005 mm.
BLTouch can be easily used in various types of 3D printers because it has a small and simple structure. It works like a regular automatic workbench leveling sensor, so firmware configuration is easy and intuitive. The implemented alarm function means that the sensor will signal with an LED indicator if a problem is detected during self-test or operation. The 3D printer can read the BLTouch alarm signal, and according to the alarm status, it can stop and pause the 3D printer with the G code set, and also support BLTouch release, storage, etc. Additionally, blue and red LED indicate the wire damage.
