Description

RTL8370N-VB-CG is a highly integrated Gigabit Ethernet switch developed by Realtek Semiconductor. It is a single-chip solution featuring 8 embedded 10/100/1000Base-T PHYs, enabling compact and cost-effective network device designs.

The device integrates MAC and PHY layers along with internal packet buffer memory and advanced switching architecture. It supports a 4K-entry MAC address table and efficient memory management for high-throughput packet forwarding.

Designed for Layer 2 managed switching, the chip provides extensive networking features including VLAN (802.1Q), QoS, IGMP/MLD snooping, and ACL-based traffic control. These capabilities make it suitable for managed switches, routers, industrial networking, and embedded communication systems.

Additionally, RTL8370N supports flow control (IEEE 802.3x), multiple queue scheduling (SP/WFQ), and Energy Efficient Ethernet features, improving both performance and power efficiency in modern network applications.
