Solid-state liquid level sensor with a resistive output that varies with the fluid level. It eliminates mechanical floats and connects easily to electronic control systems. The eTape sensor shell is compressed by the hydrostatic pressure of the fluid in which it is immersed, which causes a change in resistance. The sensor output is inversely proportional to the height of the liquid: the lower the liquid level, the higher the output resistance. The sensor can be a useful addition to your aquarium, fountain, or pool controller. The measuring element was placed in a plastic housing, which prevents accidental damage to the sensor.
