BPMN (Business Process Modeling Notation) is a notation that was created on the initiative of an organization called Business Process Modeling Initiative (BPMI). The intention of its creators was to create a way of recording business processes so simple that business users can use it, and at the same time allow to save all necessary information about the process needed by analysts and IT specialists. In other words, it was supposed to be something like a common language between persons with thematic and IT competences. At present, BPMN is a commonly used standard for recording business processes.
This book is intended for a wide audience, including analysts, designers and programmers working in IT companies involved in the automation of business processes. The information contained therein can also be useful for students of IT and organization and management.
Marek Piotrowski is a graduate of the Gdańsk University of Technology. After completing his studies, he went through the entire career path: he worked as an implementationist, later he was a service technician, programmer, designer, analyst and IT project manager. He has been working as an independent specialist for many years. He participated in a number of large IT ventures, many of them ran.
