About the book
BPMN (Business Process Modeling Notation) is a notation that was created on the initiative of an organization called Business Process Modeling Initiative (BPMI). The intention of its creators was to create a way of recording business processes so simple that business users can use it, and at the same time allow to save all necessary information about the process needed by analysts and IT specialists. In other words, it was supposed to be something like a common language between persons with thematic and IT competences. At present, BPMN is a commonly used standard for recording business processes.
This book is intended for a wide audience, including analysts, designers and programmers working in IT companies involved in the automation of business processes. The information contained therein can also be useful for students of IT and organization and management.

NetWorld No. 7-8 / 2008
BPMN (Business Process Modeling Notation) is used to describe business processes. Because it is recognized by the majority of major business process modeling software vendors, it can be considered as the actual standard of this description. The author explains the advantages and limitations of the use of notation and how to use it. Teaches the use of design patterns to implement typical structures that map business processes. Issues are illustrated by numerous examples. The book should be taken by analysts, designers and programmers working in IT companies, involved in the automation of business processes, as well as employees of other companies who deal with the identification, description or creation of business processes.
