The Bambu Lab moisture absorber was designed for use in the intelligent Bambu Lab AMS automatic filament feeding and switching system. The product contains six bags of calcium chloride with hygroscopic properties, able to effectively absorb moisture from the environment. Each bag has dimensions of 100x45x17 mm and weighs 20 g. The use of Bambu Lab moisture absorbers guarantees the highest quality of filaments and protects 3D prints against losses caused by air bubbles.

In the AMS system, the Bambu Lab moisture absorber is located next to the filament support rollers. There are two dehumidifier chambers secured with a plastic mesh. To replace the desiccant, open each compartment, remove the used desiccant and replace it with a new bag. After replacement, it is important to close the AMS to prevent moisture from being absorbed from the outside.
The new absorbent bag contains white calcium chloride in loose form. As moisture is absorbed, this substance turns into a yellow paste. When the calcium chloride has completely turned into a yellow paste, it has absorbed the maximum amount of moisture and needs to be replaced. If the absorber is worn out, it is recommended to dry the filament spools before replacing them with new packaging.
