DIY soldering kit for building an analogue Lo-Fi sound generator based on the NE556N timer. Features pitch and pulse-width adjustment, a buzzer, 8Ω speaker, 3.5mm audio output and USB-C power. Soldered 333349
The device Lo-Fi Noise Machine Solder Kit by Soldered is a DIY soldering kit for building an analogue sound generator based on the NE556N timer. The circuit follows the Punk Console concept and generates a square-wave signal without digital audio processing. Two 500kΩ potentiometers allow adjustment of pitch and pulse width, making it possible to create a variety of Lo-Fi sound effects.
Once assembled, the circuit can play sound through the buzzer, the included 8Ω / 0.5W speaker or an external device connected to the 3.5mm audio jack. The PLAY button allows manual triggering of the generator, while the appropriate jumper setting enables continuous operation. The board also features a GLITCH touch pad for modifying the generated sound and an LED that reacts to the output signal.

The kit is powered from 5V via USB-C, while the board measures approximately 70 × 70mm. It is intended both for learning soldering and for exploring the basics of analogue audio signal generation. The manufacturer rates the kit as Level 2 and provides an assembly guide, circuit documentation and files for a 3D-printable enclosure.
