PLA filament in Opal Green color with a diameter of 1.75 mm and a net weight of 1 kg, manufactured by Prusa Research with a diameter tolerance of ±0.02 mm, on a spool with an NFC tag for automatic material recognition in Prusa 3D printers
Prusament PLA Opal Green is designed for 3D printing parts requiring high surface quality, precise detail reproduction, and a stable printing process. The filament is manufactured by Prusa Research in a controlled production process that includes continuous diameter measurement, color consistency control, and mechanical property testing. Each spool features an individual QR code that allows users to view the actual production parameters of the specific batch.

PLA material features low shrinkage and good dimensional stability, which helps minimize warping and enables reliable printing even on open-frame 3D printers. The Opal Green color with fine decorative particles provides a subtle shimmering effect and an aesthetically pleasing surface finish. The filament is suitable for visual models, decorative elements, prototypes, and parts with moderate mechanical requirements. Compared to PETG, PLA offers better reproduction of fine details and smoother surface quality, although it has lower resistance to elevated temperatures.
The spool is equipped with an NFC tag that enables automatic filament recognition in compatible Prusa 3D printers, simplifying material configuration and print management.
