Description
Prusament PLA Galaxy Silver is intended for 3D printing models requiring high surface quality, precise geometry reproduction and stable process parameters. Manufacturing by Prusa Research includes continuous diameter monitoring with ±0.02 mm accuracy, color consistency control and mechanical property verification for each batch. Each spool features an individual QR code allowing access to detailed production data.
PLA material is characterized by low shrinkage and good dimensional stability, reducing the risk of warping even when printing larger parts on open-frame printers. The Galaxy Silver color contains fine glitter particles that create a metallic effect with a subtle sheen, suitable for decorative parts, enclosures, presentation models and visual prototypes. Compared to PETG, PLA enables easier print parameter configuration and more accurate reproduction of fine details, with lower resistance to elevated temperatures and mechanical loads.
