Prusament PLA Galaxy Silver 1kg NFC Filament 1.75mm

Description

Prusament PLA Galaxy Silver 1kg NFC Filament 1.75mm is designed for FDM/FFF printing of decorative models, figurines, prototypes, mock-ups and functional parts that do not require increased thermal resistance. The Galaxy Silver variant provides a metallic silver glitter finish that helps reduce the visibility of minor surface imperfections and works well for visually exposed models.

PLA provides relatively low shrinkage, allowing both small detailed parts and larger models to be printed with reduced risk of corner warping. Material density is 1.24g/cm³, filament tensile strength reaches 57±1MPa, hardness is 81 Shore D and interlayer adhesion reaches 17±3MPa. These properties make the material suitable for prototypes, concept models, decorative components and functional parts with moderate mechanical requirements.

For the Galaxy Silver variant, the recommended nozzle temperature is 215°C, while the bed temperature is 50–60°C. The Prusament PLA technical data sheet specifies a general nozzle temperature of 210±10°C and a bed temperature range of 40–60°C. The manufacturer specifies printing speeds up to 200mm/s and 100% cooling. Suitable build surfaces include smooth PEI, powder-coated and satin sheets.

Printed test specimens achieved tensile strength of 51±3MPa in the horizontal direction and 59±2MPa in the vertical XZ direction. Flexural strength reached 83±6MPa and 99±1MPa respectively, while unnotched Charpy impact strength reached 13±1kJ/m² and 14±1kJ/m². Heat deflection temperature is 55°C at both 0.45MPa and 1.80MPa.
