The growing interest in AVR processors means that more and more electronics are looking for a programmer for them, which will be relatively cheap and reliable. These requirements are met by the popular STK500. However, it has a basic disadvantage (for most programmers using laptops) - a parallel connection. In modern portable computers there are mainly USB connectors. And this is how the presented set is connected. The programmer is compatible with the STK 500 and has a USB port. This allowed to significantly improve the programming efficiency which is important especially when saving microcontrollers with Flash memory size of several dozen kilobytes.

The device is especially recommended to programmers as a workshop instrument, in a service and design studio
