An electronic form of struggle with little-liked insects. According to the researchers, the simplest method of deterring mosquitoes is to use a 16-22 kHz signal generator. In the kitten, a single 4049 type integrated circuit was used. Two of the gates contained therein were used to build the proper source of vibrations, the others form the output power amplifier system. As an executive element, a high performance piezoelectric transducer was used. The system is assembled on a small plate and works immediately after soldering, without the need for any adjustment. It should only be remembered that the effectiveness of action depends on the sensitivity of the local species of mosquitoes.
