SOFTSTART FOR BULB H7 - PLATE
Traffic regulations require that you keep driving with lights on all the time. As it is commonly known, bulbs usually burn out mainly when they are switched on and when lighting is most needed. While we have no influence on the second of these situations, we can make a system that will cause a gentler switching on the headlights.
The cold filament of the bulb has a resistance many times smaller than the hot one. When fed, this causes a high current to flow, which can easily destroy this element. We present a device which, at the moment of turning on the lighting, attaches to the bulbs an additional, serial resistance. This limits the fiber current to a safe value. It is only after a certain period of time, during which the filament is preheated, that it is fully energized.
