The Time-of-Flight (ToF) camera module featuring the advanced 33D ToF sensor provides accurate depth measurements within a range of 20 cm to 6 m, offering VGA resolution (640x480) at up to 45 frames per second. With a DFOV of 82.3°, this module is perfectly suited for a wide range of applications, including robotics, industrial automation, and spatial mapping. The module’s 2-lane MIPI interface ensures compatibility and reliability across diverse systems and conditions.
The camera utilizes a 26-pin FFC connector to transfer 5V power, MIPI signals, I2C, and other control signals between the camera module and the controller board, delivering fast and dependable communication. The built-in ToF sensor boasts exceptional depth measurement precision, achieving less than 1% error indoors and less than 2% error outdoors. This high accuracy makes it an excellent choice for applications requiring precise distance measurement.
When used with OAK-FFC-3P, OAK-FFC-4P, or OAK-FFC-4P-PoE boards, there are limitations regarding multiple OAK-FFC ToF 33D cameras. CAM_B and CAM_C ports share an I2C bus, leading to interference during calibration data reads—both modules respond simultaneously, producing erroneous calibration data. As a result, the OAK-FFC-4P supports a maximum of three ToF camera modules (connected to CAM_A, CAM_B, and CAM_D ports).
