As for the legitimacy of placing a module in the car that allows it to quickly locate in a situation such as 'borrow it', you do not have to convince any of the owners.
The device consists of two modules. The first, mobile one is mounted in the vehicle. It has a built-in GPS receiver and a GSM module, thanks to which it is possible to send location data. The second, stationary is equipped with only a GSM module and works with a PC. Such a connection allows you to track the route of the mobile part, eg on the map.

The device is especially recommended in vehicle monitoring systems
