If you have an old, efficient computer CD drive, this kit is just for you! Use it to build your own music CD player.
An additional driver is connected to the drive via the IDE connector. The use of the AVR microcontroller allowed to obtain many new options for controlling the reading of the disc. It is possible to display information about the duration of the song, the number of the track being played, etc. The data is presented on an alphanumeric liquid crystal display. Controlling functions is possible using both buttons and a remote control with the RC5 code. The duration of a song can be presented in four modes: from its beginning, to the end, from the beginning of the whole album, to the end of the whole album.

The device is especially recommended for music lovers who construct their own playing equipment and all owners of 'supernumerary' CD drives
