The consequence of continuous modernization of PCs are components which, however functional, no longer meet the requirements of the current day. These components include the CD drive. You can use it independently - in whole or remove stepper motors from it.
Kit is a proposal to use a computer CD drive like a music CD player. It is an additional driver communicating with the drive in the ATAPI protocol. In addition to the typical functions associated with playing music, the driver allows you to display song times, track numbers, etc.

The device is especially recommended for people who make audio equipment themselves and for whom it's a shame to get rid of a good CD drive
