The device uses GPS for a slightly different purpose than navigating. It allows you to periodically read the current geographical position and save it on the SD memory card. Registered points form a route that was traveled while the device was operating. Saved routes can be viewed later on any computer using the free Google Earth application. Such files may be an interesting holiday souvenir, reminiscent of the course of our travels. They can also be used for more serious purposes, eg when supervising employees of a transport company. In addition, the independent construction of the device and familiarization with the software will allow you to delve into the secrets of communication with the memory card, FAT32 file system and NMEA protocol used in communication with GPS modules.
