The ability to connect the camera module to the microprocessor system opens up new possibilities in front of the device. In comparison to the camera used in a cell phone or a laptop, you gain full control over the module and the ability to access image data. Such a device gives the ability to automatically take pictures and process image data, enabling the use of the module as an optical sensor with extended capabilities.
