Nowadays, class D amplifiers are very popular. They are relatively easy to build, have high energy efficiency, which also allows them to be powered from portable sources, and at the same time have very good parameters, incomparable to those from a dozen or so years ago. Here is the design of an amplifier based on the MAX9768 chip. It is a mono amplifier that can be used, for example, to build an active speaker system.
Recommendations: class D amplifier with good parameters, which can be useful in many audio constructions: from home or car sound system to active loudspeaker sets.
