Energy-efficient, richly equipped with peripherals MSP430 systems have found a wide application in industry. MSP430 is more than 400 microcontoller models. 'Komputerek' was created for the needs of the course published in the monthly Elektronika Praktyczna. The heart of the module is the MSP430f1232 microcontroller. In addition to the microcontroller itself, the board includes:

  • JTAG programmer connector (eg AVT1409)
  • USB type B connector (for external device supply)
  • CR2032 battery holder (battery module)
  • watch quartz with a frequency of 32762Hz
  • 6MHz quartz resonator
  • connector for mounting the LCD display with the HD44780 controller
  • interface of 1-Wire, SPI, RS-232 interfaces (adjustment of logic levels of the UART interface to the RS-232 standard was made on transistors)

Additionally, a piezoelectric buzzer, potentiometer, three-color RGB diode, power consumption connector, 2 general purpose buttons, reset button, and 3 pin connectors to which all the microcontroller's input / output lines have been laid out are mounted on the board.
