Scientific-technical dictionary English-Polish

The new, thoroughly reviewed, revised and expanded edition of the Dictionary contains approximately 135,000 English terms and abbreviations, appearing in the professional literature of this language and their equivalents in Polish. The material of the previous release was supplemented with about 20,000 entries. Changes and additions concern all fields included in the Dictionary, in particular biology, chemistry, ecology and environmental protection, electronics, IT, air conditioning and heating, aviation, mathematics, telecommunications and drilling. Significant changes were introduced in the terminology of chemical compounds, where apart from the old names, new, recommended by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC), and increasingly used in Polish chemical literature were given. The list of abbreviations preceding the actual text may be an indication of what fields have been included in the content of the Dictionary. The dictionary is intended for translators, academics, entrepreneurs, executives, students, and all those who use scientific literature and specialist texts in English.
