The Internet of Things (IoT) brings another technological revolution: here are more and more items, including everyday devices, thanks to built-in sensors and access to the network can communicate with people and other objects. The possibilities of such a network are unimaginable. Engineers who deal with this concept develop many different standards to support IoT integration.
It turns out, however, that in the chaos of competing solutions, there is a lack of a look at the Internet of Things from a slightly wider perspective, which would allow to develop a pragmatic and structural methodology for creating IoT devices and services.
This book has been written for people who are starting their adventure with the internet of things. This contains the information necessary to create prototypes of devices, products and applications using the WWW infrastructure . A comprehensive introduction to issues regarding the Internet of Things has been presented. There are information about devices, sensors, standards and tools needed here. Particularly thoroughly presented are the instruments necessary to build the WWW of things - that is, the layer of the Internet of Things application. This book will allow you to understand the problems of today's internet of things, learn about available techniques and how to use them.
In this book you will find, among others:
The Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ is boasting a 64-bit quad core processor BCM2837B0 running at 1.4GHz, dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless LAN, Bluetooth 4.2/BLE, faster Ethernet, and PoE capability via a separate PoE HAT
The latest version of the Raspberry Pi series: Raspberry Pi 4 model B with quad-core SoC (Broadcom BCM2711, Cortex-A72) working at 1.8GHz, 1GB RAM LPDDR4, Broadcom VideoCore VI layout.
MP3 player module controlled by the I2C interface. It is based on a class D amplifier with a power of 1.4 W. The board has a 3.5 mm headphone output and an 8 Ω speaker connector. Audio files are saved on the microSD card. SparkFun DEV-15165
