About the book

ARM Cortex-M cores are now widely used by microcontroller manufacturers. The book is a gentle introduction to the microcontroller technique built on the basis of the classical representative of this family, i.e. Cortex-M3. It starts with basic concepts such as bit, byte, representation of numbers in the computer. Examples of projects are described: display and keyboard support, ModBus serial transmission, ADC / DAC analog-to-digital conversion and PID controllers and pole positioning. The last chapter is a project of a simple RTOS real-time system. In the examples, the μKeil programming environment is used (the free version has a limit of 32 kB code).
