Measurement. Sensors for selected physical quantities and chemical composition

About the book

The development of electronics, IT and telecommunications has caused huge changes in measuring technology. Thanks to new materials, the apparatus is more reliable, easier to use, it can be used in more extreme conditions and is more accurate. This is evident in the example of car equipment with more and more new and more functional sensors.
Measurements are a field of knowledge that is constantly evolving, because we want to know more and more about production processes, the quality of materials and products, about the world around us. We also need books that will comprehensively present the latest knowledge on measuring techniques of various physical quantities and the modern equipment used.
Such criteria meet this manual. It discusses, among others,
  • basic errors of measurements and methods of their determination,
  • inaccurate measurement results and methods of their evaluation,
  • methods of measurements: temperature, pressure, level, flows, vibrations and shocks, noise, chemical composition and humidity
  • systems for processing and transmitting measurement signals,
  • contemporary measuring equipment,
  • metrological properties of the measuring equipment,
  • metrological activities,
  • applicable legal regulations.
The book is addressed primarily to faculty students: automation, electronics, electrical engineering, mechatronics, physics and related technical universities, as well as to engineers in most technical industries.
