About the book

The book presents an extensive description of the SPICE simulation language, which is one of the basic tools of computer analysis of electronic circuits, both analog and digital. After the introduction, containing the theoretical basis of the algorithms used in the SPICE language, a description of the basic types of analyzes available in the program and examples of their use are presented.

The book is addressed to students of electronic and electrical faculties of technical universities and to all electrons interested in computer analysis of electronic circuits.

Opinion about the book

The manual is devoted to the introduction into the SPICE simulation language, which is one of the basic tools of computer analysis of electronic circuits. It is a relatively extensive study, covering all types of analyzes available in SPICE. The author's intention was to introduce the theoretical foundations of the algorithms used in this language. A considerable part of the work is devoted to this problem (automatic formulation of the admitantic equations of the circuit, electronic element models, Gaussian algorithm, Newton's algorithm, linearization of nonlinear characteristics, methods of solving differential equations). The second part of the work contains a description of the basic types of analyzes available in the program and examples of their use.

I find the method of preparing a textbook interesting and well adapted to the requirements of future users who want to learn a little more than the mechanical application of the rules given in the instructions included with the program. This study can be used by many generations of students of electronic and electrical faculties of technical universities.
