L5973D is a monolithic step-down switching regulator developed by STMicroelectronics. It integrates a power MOSFET and control circuitry, enabling efficient DC/DC conversion with a minimal number of external components.
The device operates over a wide input voltage range up to 36 V and can deliver more than 2 A output current depending on application conditions. The output voltage is adjustable from 1.235 V to 35 V, making it suitable for a wide range of power supply designs.
An internal oscillator sets a fixed switching frequency of 250 kHz, allowing the use of compact external components. The device uses a P-channel MOSFET, simplifying design and improving efficiency.
