The ePaper 2.9" display module is based on the Raspberry Pi RP2040 microcontroller. The system has two ARM Cortex M0+ cores operating at a frequency of 133 MHz and 264 kB of RAM. The microcontroller is not equipped with flash memory, but the board has an external memory with 2 MB capacity connected via the QSPI interface.
The board has 5 user buttons and a Qw/ST (Qwiic/STEMMA QT) connector with an I2C interface, which allows you to connect additional sensors. It is powered by a USB type C connector or by a battery connector.
The module uses a black and white e-Paper display with a diagonal of 2.9" and a resolution of 296x128 pixels. The built-in controller communicates via the SPI interface.
The set includes a battery basket and a strap that allows the module to be used as a pendant. It will work as an electronic business card, a portable to-do list, or even a weather station.
